One of few Polish gothic-renaissance above-water castles, example of knight's fortified abode. Origins of the Wojnowice Castle near Wrocław date back to the 14th century. In the 15th century it was owned by various Silesian families, among others to the von Schellendorf and von Krickov families. Its renaissance features appeared in the 16th century, when the castle became a property of Jakub Boner's wife. The last private owner in the years 1940-1945 was von Livonius family. At present the castle comprehends the House of Creative Work, a café and a small hotel.
