Przemyśl is one of the oldest and the most beautiful Polish town. Its thousand years of turbulent history have been linked with the fate of the whole Polish republic. The town situated at the foot of the Carpathians, vaunting a wealth of more than a thousand monuments, enchants us with an unforgettable landscape of steep, narrow streets, adjoining historical buildings and old churches with towers that climb ever higher.
• The 7th century – the areas were settled by Lendians, and their duke – Przemysł-Lestek 1 (both names meant the same character trait: cunning, cleverness) established a city and named it Przemyśl from his own name.

Worth seeing near Przemyśl
Krasiczyn Castle Son of Jakub, Stanisław Krasicki, Przemyśl castellan, started the development of a fortified seat at the end of the 16th century. The fortified palace complex built on a rectangular plan and surrounded by a defensive wall with four corner towers was developed. A new residential wing was built along the wall, on the east side. North and west side of the palace were surrounded by broads, which improve defensive properties of the castle.
