Krakow - you enter a world full of phantoms, chimeras, but also of down-to-earth people. Krakow is an extraordinary place, which you have to visit necessarily, and which is difficult to forget. It is one of the few places in the world, where you can feel a real history intertwining with the modern times.
And everything, as the legend goes, starts with Krak, the first ruler of a settlement located somewhere between the Danube and the Rhine in the world called Barbaricum by the ancient Romans. Although we know little about the founder of the burg city over the Vistula, there is no doubt his figure is inseparably connected with a dangerous dragon which he defeated in the days of yore. Thus, the dragon called Wawel Dragon became a showpiece of Krakow, which throughout the centuries was the seat of kings, the center of cultural and scientific life. And no one should be surprised, as the local rumors have it, it was this place where the secret science was studied by the probably best known scientist - Dr. Faust.
The city with all its history attracted and still attracts uncommon people. From architects, artists, scientists to noble city dwellers, who left there their legacy in a form of exceptional, on the worldwide level, historic buildings and creations of culture both that high and material. Today, thanks to our attachment to tradition and respect for our ancestors, we join our history with requirements of the modern metropolis.
The development of communication, tourist infrastructure with the enormous number of galleries, hotels, restaurants, makes Krakow friendly both for its residents and guests who search for original places in the map of Poland.
